The automotive landscape continues to evolve with the integration of cutting-edge technologies. Avatr, the internet-based automotive company, has unveiled its newest addition to the 06 series: the 06 Elite trim. This new variant expands the lineup, offering both extended-range (EREV) and pure electric (EV) options, strategically positioned between the Pro and Max trims.
The 06 Elite comes with a starting price of 219,900 yuan (approximately $30,800) for the EREV model and 229,900 yuan (around $32,200) for the EV version. While the price point is competitive, the standout feature of the Elite trim is its standard inclusion of a 192-line LiDAR sensor.
LiDAR (Light Detection and Ranging) technology is crucial for advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS). It works by emitting laser pulses to create a detailed 3D map of the vehicle’s surroundings, significantly enhancing safety and navigation capabilities. The inclusion of this technology as standard equipment positions the 06 Elite as a forward-thinking vehicle.
The Elite model also features the Huawei Qiankun ADS 4 intelligent driving system and the HarmonySpace 5 intelligent cockpit. These systems represent Avatr’s commitment to integrating sophisticated technology into the driving experience.
Avatr describes the Elite’s exterior design as adhering to its “Avatr 2.0” philosophy, offering six distinct color options. Key visual elements include dual-strip 7-shaped daytime running lights, a Halo interactive screen above the windshield, and ultra-clear electronic exterior rearview mirrors. Customers can choose between two 20-inch wheel designs.
The vehicle’s dimensions are consistent with the 06 series: 4855mm long, 1960mm wide, and either 1450mm or 1467mm tall, with a wheelbase of 2,940mm.
Inside the cabin, the HarmonySpace 5 infotainment system takes center stage, featuring a 35.4-inch 4K panoramic remote screen and a 15.6-inch central control screen. Premium features include nano-ion air conditioning for enhanced air quality, dual zero-gravity front seats for comfort, and a 25-speaker Meridian audio system.
Safety and convenience are prioritized with the Huawei 192-line LiDAR and the Qiankun ADS 4 system. This combination powers advanced features like AEB (Automatic Emergency Braking) and CAS 4.0 (Collision Avoidance System). The system also includes parking-to-parking navigation assistance and Valet Parking Assist (VPD).
Powering the EREV model is an electric motor with a maximum power output of 231 kW (310 hp) and 367 N·m of torque, supported by a 31.7 kWh battery pack. This provides a CLTC-rated pure electric range of 230 kilometers and a combined range of 1,190 kilometers. The EV variant boasts a maximum power of 252 kW (338 hp) and 365 N·m of torque, driven by a larger 72.88 kWh battery pack, delivering a CLTC-rated range of 650 kilometers.
The introduction of the 06 Elite marks Avatr’s continued expansion of its smart EV lineup. By offering advanced features like standard LiDAR technology across its range, Avatr positions itself as a leader in the competitive internet car market, catering to consumers seeking intelligent driving experiences and sophisticated cabin technology
