Alfa Romeo is set to release an extremely limited-edition version of its Giulia Quadrifoglio, the Collezione, with just two units allocated for the UK market. This move underscores a trend among luxury automakers towards artificial scarcity as a marketing strategy, driving demand through exclusivity rather than sheer volume.
Paying Homage to Alfa’s Racing Heritage
The Collezione pays tribute to the 1963 Giulia Ti Super, the first Alfa Romeo to bear the iconic Quadrifoglio badge. A total of 63 units will be produced globally, split between the Giulia sedan and Stelvio SUV models. However, the UK will only receive the Giulia variant.
Performance and Aesthetic Upgrades
Both the Collezione Giulia and Stelvio feature the standard QF’s potent 513bhp 2.9-liter twin-turbo V6 engine, but are further enhanced with an Akrapovič exhaust system for a more aggressive sound profile. Additional upgrades include high-performance carbon-ceramic brakes with anodized calipers, and extensive use of exposed carbon fiber on the roof, front badge, mirror caps, center console, and dashboard trim.
Unique Rosso Collezione Finish
The exterior is finished in a bespoke “Rosso Collezione” paint, a modern interpretation of the Rosso Villa D’Este shade used on Alfa Romeo’s legendary 33 Stradale supercar. Alfa Romeo describes the color as a deep, ink-rich red that shifts from vibrant crimson to near-black depending on lighting conditions.
Interior Details & Certification
The interior boasts Sparco sports seats upholstered in leather and Alcantara with contrasting red stitching. Each seat is individually numbered, embroidered with the car’s unique position within the 63-unit production run (e.g., “1 di 63 Collezione”). Each vehicle will also come with Alfa Romeo Classiche’s “Instant Classic Certification,” adding collector value.
Pricing and Availability
Pricing has not yet been released, but given the extreme exclusivity, the Collezione is expected to cost upwards of £160,000, similar to the 2021 GTAm model. Prospective buyers in the UK are advised to contact their nearest Alfa Romeo retailer immediately, as demand will significantly outstrip supply.
The Collezione is more than just a car; it’s a statement of exclusivity. The limited run and premium features position this vehicle as a collector’s item from launch.
